A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Our cross country teams compete in the state tournament on Saturday in Northfield at St. Olaf. We will send them off with a rousing pepfest Friday morning at 8:10 am.

Next week, we will begin sending out invitations to Grandparents Day, which is Nov. 26 (day before Thanksgiving). If your child's grandparents have registered with us in the past, they will get an invitation. We need the addresses of any new grandparents who should get an invitation.

Yes, it is OK for our students to wear costumes to school on Friday as long as the costume is appropriate and fits into Cathedral's dress code. A reminder that we are a peanut safe school. If students wish to bring Halloween candy to school, it must be peanut free.

Senior pictures for the yearbook are due Nov. 1. It's sort of in style right now for senior pictures to be kind of seductive looking. Please send us a wholesome, head and shoulders shot.

For parents of juniors: we will not be giving the ACT during the school day next spring. We will host the ACT on Saturday, April 18, 2015. That date has been put back on the ACT website. Please register early if your son/daughter wants to test at CHS. (We will do our annual ACT prep with juniors in March.)

Big volleyball game tonight! Our girls take on Rocori for the sub-Section title at 7:45 at Sauk Rapids.

Advance sale tickets for Saturday's Section Championship Football game against Pierz are available in the Activities Office. The game is at SCSU at 8:00 pm. You are encouraged to buy tickets ahead of time to avoid lines. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.

All students have received information about our Magazine Fundraiser. Profits from these magazine sales go directly to our Activities Department.
Click hereto order. Cathedral's code is 2610541.

Blessings,

Lynn Grewing
