A Message from the Principal
Our Holiday Choir Concert is tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. Come and celebrate the season with us. The evening will feature the Cathedral Concert Choir, Jubilate Choir, and Minnesingers. Their performances will include traditional Christmas and holiday classics with a mix of gospel favorites. All Alumni are welcome to reconnect with friends and families during a reception to be held immediately following the concert. Enjoy cookies, cider, and fellowship downstairs at St. Mary's. Please join us.
There will be no after school supervision on Wednesday or Friday of this week. The library will be closed right after school and all students should be picked up or ride the bus home at that time. We have a faculty/staff Christmas party on Wednesday and a prayer service on Friday. Our teachers and staff want to be able to attend these events, and they can't do that if there are students to supervise. Normally the library closes at 4:00 and students should leave the building at that time.
Cathedral is offering the opportunity for the Cathedral community to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 17
in the Cathedral chapel from 8:15 - 3:00. Students will have the choice to go during their Theology classes or any open time. All of the Cathedral community is welcome to come and receive this sacrament.
We want to gather as a community to pray for Alyssa Lommel and her family - and we want to do this at a time when Alyssa's classmates and other alums can join us. So we will gather in the Commons for a short prayer service this Friday (Dec. 20) at 3:30. After we pray together, we'll provide some snacks and an opportunity for our graduates to spend time together. All parents and students are invited to join us. Eric Johnson has already said that the hockey team will be there, and we are contacting Joel Stark-Haws, who was Alyssa's gymnastics coach. If you have a Facebook page, please pass this message on to others. We'll also send this message to the Class of 2012, 2011, and 2013.
