A Message from the Principal
Even though it's summertime, there is still lots of activity here at school. The Main Office is open every day. The custodians are busy painting, cleaning, and keeping up with the mowing. It seems like Matt Meyer, Director of Enrollment Management, has a new student/family here visiting every day. I'm excited that our incoming seventh grade class has gone over 100 and is still growing! Mrs. Sieling, our Registrar, and Mrs. Fasching have put many days into creating the 2014-2015 Master Schedule, and I expect that we will be mailing out student schedules soon.
We have three open positions for next year, so we are interviewing applicants for Social Studies, Orchestra, and Spanish.
A reminder that Cathedral will be "tree nut and peanut safe" this year. That means that our lunchroom, our classrooms, our gyms, etc. will all be free from any peanuts or peanut products. We ask that anything brought into the school, from student lunches to potluck items be made without peanuts. You will be receiving more information, along with a long list of safe products and brands before the school year begins.
Charlie Schuweiler, a recent Cathedral grad, will be participating in the Ultimate Frisbee World Championships in Italy as a member of Team USA. He is selling cool t-shirts as a fundraiser for his trip. The t-shirts are $20 and can be ordered through this link, or you can just support Charlie with a donation:
Blessings for a relaxing and safe summer.
