A couple additional items related to Homecoming:
- Monday is PJ Day; the rest of the week will be announced on Monday
- Thursday is Muffins for Moms (and Dads), Student Ambassadors will be handing out muffins to parents as they drop off their students on Thursday morning.
The Volleyball team is hosting Dig Pink Night on October 13. Money
raised is donated to cancer research and we keep money local. There
will be a Pink Out at school during the day and in the gym at the game.

in grades 10-12 have an opportunity, in February, to travel to
Washington, D.C. and participate in the Close Up Program. Much more
than a field trip, Close Up Washington, D.C. is an exciting, weeklong
study-visit to the nation's capital, where students will have the
opportunity to experience the government and political process
firsthand. While most visitors to the city only see its monuments and
museums, Close Up Washington, D.C. participants get an insider's view of
the people and places that make the city unique. An informational
meeting for parents and students will be held on Monday, Oct. 5 at 7:00

Ben is already planning the next pilgrimage to Rome! Juniors and their
parents who are interested in learning more about the Rome Pilgrimage
2016 should attend the informational meeting this Sunday (Sept. 27) in the CHS Cafeteria at 7:00 pm. He will discuss dates, itinerary, fundraising, and more.
Cathedral Homecoming 2016 is next week! Here are some of the fun activities planned for our community celebration:
Monday: Coronation/Pepfest at 9:30 am in the North Gym
Tuesday: Lynn and Emmett will grill Homecoming hot dogs for the fans at the Volleyball game vs. Zimmerman (North Gym).
Wednesday: 2nd Annual Cathedral Color Run/Walk at 2:30 pm.
Thursday: Home Girls' Soccer at Whitney vs. Melrose and Home Swimming and Diving vs. Becker at SJU.
Friday: Lunchtime Bingo and "Treats in the Street"; Tailgating at SCSU before the Homecoming FB Game, starts at 5:00 pm, game at 7:00 pm.
Saturday: Homecoming Dance at 8:00 pm at Atwood Center, SCSU; both the freshman class and the sophomore class have group events planned.
Cathedral Boys' Soccer Team will be hosting a breakfast fundraiser this
Sunday, Sept. 27, 8:30 am - 12:00 noon in the Cathedral School
cafeteria. Tickets are $8.00 and can be purchased from any player or at
the door. Hope to see you there!
Parents of Seventh Graders and all new students: we will host a parent meeting on Oct. 6 (7:00 pm) - just to welcome you and answer questions now that we have been in school for a month. More information will be coming.
5. Senior pictures for the yearbook should be sent to:
All senior pictures must be in by November 1.
The yearbook staff says the earlier, the better! Pictures need to be
at least 300 DPI, color or black & white. The photo must be
appropriate for the Cathedral yearbook (not provocative or too
revealing). These may be sent via email, disk, flash drive, or paper
copy to firstname.lastname@example.org. The picture will be placed in a 3 X 3 box. If the picture does not fit, the yearbook staff will crop to the necessary size.
Senior baby ads for the yearbook are also due Nov. 1.
