A Message from the Principal
The Annual Fundraiser for the Tanzanian Village Fund is Jan. 12, 2014 at the Gorecki Center, College of St. Benedict. Doors open at 1:30 and dinner starts at 2:00 pm. This annual fundraiser is part of the goal of making life better for the people of Mikocheni. The event will include an update on the organization, a presentation from the most recent trip participants, dinner, and a silent auction. For reservations and tickets, contact email@example.com
The public performances of our One Act Play, Great Things, are next Thursday and Friday at 7:00 pm in Holy Angels. Tickets are $4.00, general, and $2.00 for students.
Here's something fun to do on Saturday night: Cathedral students won the "Sprinkles Contest" at Frozen Yogurt Creations (across from Target behind Crossroads Mall). They will host a party at the store 9:00 to 11:00 pm, Sat. evening. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to our school. There will be drawings for free stuff and fun for all.
The sophomore parent meeting to discuss PLAN results will be Jan. 13, 7-8 pm in the Library. Your student received their PLAN results and you should bring those to the meeting.
Attention Parents of Juniors and Seniors: the area wide Financial Aid Night is Monday, Jan. 20 at the Gorecki Center at the College of St. Benedict, 7:00 pm. This is an excellent informative meeting about financial aid; it is especially good for parents going through this for the first time. The meeting is run by college financial aid officers.
The Crusaderette Dance Team is hosting a Steak Fry dinner on Friday, Jan. 17 at the Sauk Rapids VFW. Meals will be served from 5:00 to 8:00 and tickets are $12 each. Contact any dance team family for tickets.
The Boys Hockey Team is having their annual Pork Chop Dinner fundraiser on Sunday, Jan. 19. The Pork Chop Dinner will be held at the East Side VFW from 4:00 to 7:00. Tickets are available at the door.
Cathedral Girls' Basketball team will be hosting JAM the Gym for PAA athletes through 8th grade on Friday, Jan. 10. Students wearing blue/gold or their team jersey will receive free admission with chaperone. There will be a shooting contest during halftime with prizes. JV and C-Squad games start at 6 pm and the Varsity game begins at 7:30 pm.
