A Message to Parents

Dear Parents,

1. Our Art Club students are creating a giant solar system mural on the street in front of the school, using sidewalk chalk.  This means that we have closed the street through this evening.  We need to use the pull offs on 7th Street for the buses this afternoon.  If you normally park there to pick up your student, please find another spot just for this afternoon.  Buses will be using all of these cutouts.  There is a nice article/photo in today's paper about this project.

2. The Choir Finale is at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Tickets are reserved because of the limited seating in Holy Angels.  We do ask for a $5 free will offering for tickets as that money helps our department with any extra accompaniment and music costs.  All seats are reserved ahead of time. There may be a few left on Sunday, but some years every seat has been taken. Stop by the Main Office for tickets.

3. Cathedral Summer Camps (Ages 3-12th grade):  Camp registrations are filling up!  Make sure to register for camp by Friday, May 20th in order to receive a Cathedral t-shirt.  Registrations are available via mail and online. Visit the website for a camp brochure: http://www.cathedralcrusaders.org/summer-camps

4. Yesterday there was another serious car accident in the Twin Cities involving teens and Nerf wars.  When I speak with our students about this, they tell me that their nerf wars are "safe."  My response: any time you get kids chasing and shooting each other with nerf bullets, good common sense can be gone.  Please speak with your students; let's end this practice, and find a safer fun activity.

7. Senior Parents: if you haven't turned in your letter for Baccalaureate, please, please do that now.  It will be sad if we have seniors who don't receive a letter from parents during Baccalaureate.

8. A reminder that all students will turn in their laptops next week.  There are several pieces that must be turned in at the same time.  Please help your student gather all of those parts and be ready when the turn in time arrives.
