A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

1. Next week is Catholic Schools Week. It is another opportunity for us to proudly proclaim all the good things happening at our school and to have a little fun. Here are some of the planned activities:

Monday: Cathedral hosts a Spaghetti Dinner for all Catholic school employees and their families.

Tuesday: Anne Schleper Day at CHS: Students are asked to wear red, white, and blue in honor of Anne as she prepares to play in the 2014 Olympics. We will have a pepfest and fun activities in her honor all day long.

Wednesday: Pancake Breakfast for students 7:30 to 8:00 am and Catholic Schools Week Liturgy at 9:30 in the North Gym. Parents are encouraged to join us for the liturgy.

Friday: Afternoon acitivities for students, including outdoor dodge ball, a movie, etc.

2.Glenn Imholte ’80 was an enthusiastic supporter of Cathedral and was often seen at sporting events, plays and school functions, cheering on the Crusaders. During his time at Cathedral he was an active participant in school plays, the choir, Minnesingers, pep band and the track team. As a testament to his character, Glenn was voted by his classmates as the “Most Outgoing and Friendliest to be Around.” In 2009, Glenn tragically died in a car accident.
On January 25, 2014 Glenn’s family and friends would like to formally kick-off the formation of the Glenn Imholte ’80 Scholarship by hosting a celebration event to raise money for the scholarship to support future students attending Cathedral. Their belief is that by supporting future students, Glenn’s Scholarship will preserve the memory of Glenn as one of Cathedral’s greatest fans.
The benefit concert will be held at Cathedral’s Holy Angels Performing Arts Center and will feature the music of Glenn’s family members including a live auction.
