A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

1. The days off at the beginning of the week have certainly been disruptive for the start of second semester. Let's hope we've seen the last of the snow days for this year. These are our "make-up" days per the board's decision last evening: Feb. 17 (President's Day), April 17 (Holy Thursday), and April 21 (Easter Monday). No decision will please everyone. Obviously if you have already made plans for one of these days, you should keep your plans. Your student should let the teachers know and pick up make up work in advance.
2. Today is Anne Schleper Day at Cathedral. We are all dressed in red, white, and blue to celebrate our own Olympian. At 1:00 pm today, we will create a video to send to Anne, and then Mayor Dave Kleis and Jim and Deb Schleper will be here to celebrate with us.

3. The Junior Parent Meeting originally scheduled for Feb. 4 will be moved to Feb. 10, 6:30 to 7:30 in the library. Feb. 4 is the local caucus night.

4. For Seniors researching scholarships: Please encourage your son/daughter to visit the Central Minnesota Community Foundation Website www.communitygiving.org.
There is a link on the Cathedral guidance page. Students should click on Scholarships and narrow the list to Cathedral High School. Many of these are dueMarch 1stso they should not wait! There are other scholarships on the guidance page as well.
There is also information about completing th FAFSA on the guidance page.
