A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

A reminder that our spring parent-teacher conferences are tomorrow evening (4-7) and next Monday evening (4-7). Regardless of technology and the ability to check your student's grades, it is more valuable to come and meet with the teachers face-to-face. Students, parents and teachers all have important insight into the student's success in the classroom.

According to the St. Cloud Times, there was a very unfortunate assault incident near Cathedral on Saturday. The Knights of Columbus were holding their annual Free Throw contest for elementary students in the North Gym. A visitor was assaulted as he walked from his car. The perpetrator was apprehended fairly quickly and has been charged. It appears to be a random act of violence. We checked with the police department about any measures we could or should take, but there were no immediate recommendations. We are vigilant about the safety of your children. We have cameras on many areas of our property, and we supervise closely during the school day. We have added significant lighting to our parking lots this year. We take the safety of your children and our employees very seriously.

A spring cleaning suggestion: please turn in all school-issued uniforms, warm-ups etc. to coaches or the Activities Office.

Blessings,
Lynn Grewing
