A Message to Parents

Dear Cathedral Community,

The LAX Lacrosse team, of which Cade is a member, will have a special "Fight for #50" this Friday evening during their game against Becker at the Husky Dome, starting with the JV game at 5:00, and the Varsity game at 6:30pm. If you haven't attended a lacrosse game, this is a great opportunity to enjoy this spor!

Today is the last day for you to purchase a raffle ticket for our "Campaign for Cathedral" car drawing.  Tickets will still be available in the Main Office all day today.  Then, the winning ticket will be drawn tonight at our Sip & See event at the The Grands at Mullingan's in Sartell 5-8 pm.  We will be sharing the latest drawings and renderings of our new building.  Please join us!

As many of you have already heard, one of our Cathedral students, Cade Anderson, is facing another round of cancer treatment and chemotherapy because his lymphoma has returned.  This news has been devastating for Cade and his family.

We want to surround them with prayers, love, and support.  It is likely that Cade's treatment will begin next week, so we are planning a Prayer Service for Cade for this Sunday (May 13) evening at 6:30 pm in the North Gym.  We are deliberately having this in the evening so not just students, but also moms and dads, whole families can come together.  I hope every single Cathedral family will plan to be there.  I do know that it's Mother's Day and Fishing Opener, but we want to make sure that Cade feels the healing power of Cathedral prayer as he starts this journey again.

Many of you have asked how you can help.  We will have baskets for gift cards (gas, groceries, Subway, Chipotle, (both Cade favorites) etc.) available if you wish to do that.  There will be stamped and addressed cards for you to pick up and mail to Cade and his parents this summer, so that they feel our love and support during the summer. We will also take orders for Cade t-shirts in case you didn't get one last time.

If you are not able to join us, please say your own prayers for Cade, and continue to pray regularly.  We will try to keep you updated on his progress.

Blessings,

Lynn Grewing
