3.An important message from our Admissions Office:
We have much to celebrate! In particular, all the efforts that have contributed to a highly successful year for our fourteen international students.THANK YOU for opening your hearts (and especially for those of you who opened your homes) to these students. Our international students were made to feel welcome and wanted at Cathedral. International students benefit the Cathedral community in so many ways--socially, academically, financially, and personally. For all these reasons, we want to continue to grow our international student population at Cathedral. Specifically, we intend to have 25 international students at Cathedral for the 2014-2015 school year. Of course the success of this program will not be possible unless we can find host families for these 25 students. Why should you consider hosting an international student? you are helping to make a difference at Cathedral and in the world you can create an international friendship that will last a lifetime you can practice hospitality and generosity you can increase cultural awareness amongst your community you can learn a new language and culture you can support diversity and cross-cultural understanding in your own home you will receive a monthly stipend If you are interested in learning more about hosting an international student, please mark your calendar and plan to attend an information session on Monday, April 21st at 7:00 PM in the Cathedral HS conference room. For more information, you can also contact Rebecca Brown-Medvec email@example.com
4. Because of the leadership and support of dozens of our parent volunteers, we are making wonderful progress toward our fourth annual Celebration of Seasons, which takes place Saturday, May 3 at the River's Edge Convention Center. The evening is designed to celebrate as a community, advance our Cathedral mission as a school, and raise significant revenues in support of our vital student programs. Participation from all families will be key to our success. Please mark your calendar now and respond with your intent to join us via the invitations that have been mailed out, or visit the Cathedral website and click on the Celebration of Seasonstab to register on line. Extra invitations may be picked up in the Main Office. We hope to see you there!
