A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Tickets for our Choir Finale are available in the Main Office. Finale is Sunday evening at 7:00 pm in Holy Angels Performing Arts Center.
Next week is a busy one for seniors: Lifeskills Day is Monday, Baccalaureate is Wednesday evening, the Senior Getaway is Thursday, the President's Prayer Breakfast and the Awards Assembly are Friday morning, and Commencement is Friday evening at 8:00 pm.

Please be sure to gather all cords, adapters, chargers, etc. for your student's MacBook Air computer. Those will all need to be turned in, with the computer, during the last week of school. These computers are cleaned up over the summer and then students will receive the same one back in the fall.

Girl Scout Troop #799 is collecting donations for Anna Marie's new Pet Shelter. Anna Marie's provides a safe place for victims of domestic abuse. At least 48% of women delay leaving their abuser out of fear for their pet's safety. Anna Marie's is building a new pet shelter to allow families to bring their pets with them to the center. The pet shelter is in need of the following items: cat or dog toys, pet treats, food trays, cat litter, litter boxes, blankets, leashes, and books, movies, or CD's about animals (for a learning center for the children). A donation box is located at Cathedral to collect new or gently used items for this new pet shelter. Donations will be collected through Friday, May 30.

There is an important town hall meeting on May 20 at the Tech High School Auditorium, 7:00 to 8:30 pm: "Teen Use of Alcohol and other Chemicals." This session is for parents, youth, educators, and anyone interested in preventing underage drinking and substance abuse. You will receive free resources, tools, and information. Local experts will answer questions and provide parents with information to help them have effective conversations about drugs and alcohol with their tweens and teens. Attendees should enter Door 1.

Blessings, Lynn Grewing
