A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

We do have three teachers who will not be at conferences tonight: Eric Johnson (hockey dinner and Mass), Mark Chamernick (game), and Darcy Frank-Henrichs (sick). If you would like a phone call or a meeting with them, please send them an email. All of our teachers have the same email pattern: first initial/last name at cathedralcrusaders.org. Example: ejohnson@cathedralcrusaders.org

A reminder that Parent Council meets next Tuesday, November18th in the Conference Room off the senior lounge. The meeting begins at11:30and will last approximately 1 hour. Our speaker this month is Mr. Matt Meyer, Associate Director of Advancement for Enrollment at CHS. It’s a great and easy way to get involved in our school. We look forward to seeing you there!

You may not have been aware of how much publicity our "Online Snow Day" created. An Associated Press story went out over the wires, and we have heard from people all over the country. I have heard from alums who are proud to be Crusaders! The credit goes to all of the teachers and students who did all of the teaching and learning!

Our first middle school Activity Night is Friday, Nov. 14, 6:30 - 9:30 pm in the North Gym. We provide a safe evening for our 7th and 8th grade students. They can play basketball, volleyball, 4-square, or dance.

There has been a problem with ACT sign up that has now been corrected. You may now choose CHS as your student's preferred site for the April test. If you ended up signing up for a different school, there is a fee to change that - unless you mention a "data entry error" in your communication with them. They made the error and will change it for you if you let them know. The ACT website is www.act.org.

Sign up and purchase a Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. Barnes and Noble will be providing sample cheesecake at conferences. Come, enjoy, and plan to make a purchase! All proceeds will go toward purchasing current non-fiction titles for our library. Or, make a commitment to donate a book by signing up and choosing a non-fiction book title from our tables located near the conference check ins. Plan to come to our bookfair at Barnes & Noble on Sunday, Dec. 7 to purchase the title you choose. The specific book will be graced with your donation nameplate and become part of our non-fiction collection at Cathedral High School.
Our book of "remembrance" will be in the main foyer of school during the month of November. You may come in and sign, or send us the name(s) of any one you would like placed in our book. You may include a name(s), and also a short prayer or message.
