A Message to Parents

Dear Parents,

A reminder that there is no busing on Friday of this week (March 27) because the public schools have that day off.

I have received a few questions regarding the 2015-2016 Calendar.  We are working on it.  It is helpful for us to see the District 742 calendar, which is being presented to their board on Thursday night.  Next year is especially difficult with Labor Day so late (Sept. 7).  I will share our calendar with you as soon as it's set.

We will have tickets for Thursday evening's hockey game against Apollo on sale tomorrow (Wed.).  Stop by the Activities Office to purchase these tickets, $8 for adults, $5 for students.  It will mean that you don't have to wait in a long line at the ticket window.  Our first round play off boys' basketball game will move to 6:00 pm.  We play Spectrum in the North Gym.

We will be helping our juniors prep for the ACT once again, although this year we have decided to do this intense prep during the school day. This means no schedule conflicts with spring sports, jobs, or Special Friends.  It also means that we will only be charging families for the ACT book and a small stipend for the extra work that the presenters take on.  Junior parents will receive a letter soon with the details of our plan.

I hope everyone is making plans to attend Celebration of Seasons on April 25.  It is so important that the whole community supports this important fundraiser.  This is Cathedral's big event, and it benefits so many of our student activities.
