Our counselors will host a college prep and information meeting on Monday (Sept. 21) evening at 7:00 pm.
The meeting is in the library. They will discuss the college search
and application process, along with important dates, some financial
information etc. This meeting is especially valuable for parents going
through this process for the first time. They have met with seniors in
one of their social studies classes and the counselors will share that
same information with parents on Monday. The meeting will last an hour or less.
An important event for the entire Cathedral Community: next Monday, Sept. 21 is International Peace Day. We will gather for a candlelight prayer service for peace at 8:30 pm
- outside between the South and Center Buildings. This prayer service
has been planned by our Campus Ministers, who often lead faith
activities here at school. As a faith community, we believe that prayer
is powerful and we know that gathering in prayer is an important part
of our lives. Please come; it will last 20-25 minutes and we hope not
only are all of our students present, but also our parents and families.
2.There is a Flapjack Fundraiser for our Dance Team this Sunday, Sept. 20, 8-10 am
at Applebee's. Each breakfast will include three pancakes, scrambled
eggs, bacon or sausage, and a beverage. Tickets are $10 and may be
purchased from Julie Notsch in the library or at the door on Sunday.
3. Important News: our Spirit Shop will have its opening next Tuesday, Sept 22. It will be open regularly on Tuesdays and Thursday, 2:30 - 4:30 pm. Starting Oct. 1, there will also be an online store with even more apparel items for sale. Drawings with prizes next week for the opening!
