Welcome to Cathedral Academic Triathlon!
We are excited that you are interested in being part of our team. Academic Triathlon is for 7th and 8th graders.
In 2013, the Crusader Academic Triathlon team placed 3rd out of 9th teams at the State Meet.
AT is a creative thinking skills competition that teaches and rewards creative thinking processes, cooperative brainstorming, general intellect, leadership and a flare for the dramatic. Five person teams need to display good sportsmanship and teamwork and to exhibit outcomes of their creativity and positive risk-taking.
Each meet consists of three team events:
PARTY-IN-A-BOX: an open ended question leads to the creation of a team performance.
MIND SPRINTS: Three short term problems challenge teams verbally, logically and spatially
FACE-OFF: Oral and written questions stress recall and reasoning in various subjects.
Students must register for Academic Triathlon by clicking on “Registration Info.” There is also a fee of $70.
