Activities Update - 3/11/13

Here is a recap of what happened over break:

The Girls' Basketball season ended with a loss to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted a week ago Saturday.  In that game, Jenna Januschka became the all-time leader in career rebounds for CHS.  She finished her career with 661 rebounds surpassing Kit Casey '02 who had the record at 657.  The Crusaders finished 19-9, their best season in 11 years.

The Boys' Hockey team's season came to an end with a loss to eventual state runner-up Hermantown in the section final.  The Crusaders finish an excellent season at 20-8.

The Speech team finished second overall at the Kimball Invite on Saturday - winning three category championships along the way: Cole Wintheiser in Storytelling, Lauren Hopke in Humorous, and Tanner Petroske in Creative Expression.

And, the Boys' Basketball team advanced in the Section 5AA tourney with wins last week over Spectrum and Kimball. The Crusaders take on Annandale in the sub-section final at 6pm tomorrow at Dassel-Cokato High School.  A win puts them in the section title game on Friday at Halenbeck Hall.

Today:

The Cathedral Math League team competes in the State Tournament at South St. Paul High School.
