Carolyn Gruenes smashed a two-run double in the bottom of the 10th inning to power the Softball team over Milaca 4-3. Maria Bastin went all 10 for the win to give CHS the season sweep over the Wolves.
The Baseball team beat Milaca 18-2 in 5 innings. Waylon Bemboom homered and Brian Minks had three hits for the Crusaders.
The Boys' Lacrosse team lost to Monticello 10-3.
The Girls' Golf team won a pair of nine-hole Granite Ridge meets at Foley. Greta Egerman was the medalist in the first with a 42. Lucy Gaetz and Ann Berdan shared top honors in the second, both carding 42.
The Boys' Golf team finished second, six shots behind Zimmerman, in the Granite Ridge meet at Milaca. Peter Spethmann led Cathedral with a 40.
And, the Boys' Tennis team lost to Becker 6-1. The lone CHS win came at #2 doubles where Josh Robak and Thomas Friebe won in three sets.
Congratulations to Anne Ozbun. Anne has been selected to the All-National Honor Mixed Choir. Anne will go to Washington, DC for four days in late June and will perform with her ensemble at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, June 24th. This is an extraordinary accomplishment for Anne. Way to go!
Another former Crusader is heading to a National Championship. Nathan Hoefflin '09 is heading to the D-2 national tourney with his teammates form Washburn (MO). "Wheels" shot a 7-over 223 in the three round regional tourney to help the Ichabods qualify. If you are counting, that makes three former CHS golfers heading to national collegiate tourneys.
The Boys' Golf team is the New London-Spicer Invite at 10am.
The Softball teams host Maple Lake at 4:30pm at Whitney.
The Tech/Cathedral Boys' Lacrosse team is at Holy Family.
And, the St. Cloud Area Girls' Lacrosse team hosts Breck at Husky Stadium at 6:30pm.
The Boys' Tennis team competes in the Granite Ridge Conference tourney in Foley.
