Activities Update - 5/23/12

The Track and Field teams did very well at the sub-Section meet - with the girls winning the sub-Section title and the boys finishing third.  Next Wednesday' Section meet should be very exciting.  The Crusaders advanced 16 girls to the section meet in 13 different events and the boys advanced 13 competitors in 10 different events.

The Boys' Tennis team lost to Fergus Falls 7-0 in the section semifinals.  The individual portion of the section meet begins tomorrow at St. Ben's.

The Baseball team closed out the regular season with a split with Mora.  The Mustangs won the suspended game 2-1 and  then the Crusaders won the regularly scheduled game 4-1.  CHS finishes the regular season 16-4 and will learn the post-season seed tonight.   More than likely, the Crusaders will host an opening round playoff game at 7pm tomorrow night at Faber Field.

The Tech/Cathedral Boys' Lacrosse team fell to Wayzata 16-2 in the section tourney last night.
And, the St. Cloud area Girls' Lacrosse team lost their playoff opener to Armstrong 20-3.

Greta Danielson and Nick Schmit will be honored at the Exchange Club luncheon as Cathedrals' Honor Athletes for 2012.  Each year the Exchange Club presents this award to student-athletes from Tech, Apollo and Cathedral.  Congratulations to Greta and Nick!

Have a great day!
