Activities Update - 5/4/12

Lot's of action yesterday:

The Boys' Tennis team beat New London-Spicer 4-3. CHS wins came from Ryan Jameson and Jared Beumer at singles and the duos of Thomas Friebe and Josh Robak, and Nathan Stracke and Andy Windschitl at doubles.

The St. Cloud Area Girls' Lacrosse team lost to Becker 17-10.

Lucy Gaetz fired a 41 and Erin Stocker and Greta Egerman each carded 42 as the Girls' Golf team won the Granite Ridge meet yesterday.

The Boys' Golf team finished second at the Granite Ridge meet in Little Falls, two shots behind Zimmerman. Peter Spethmann and Sam LaBine each shot 41.

The Softball team avenged an earlier loss to Princeton, beating the Tigers 9-6. Carolyn Gruenes paced the CHS offense with three hits and two runs batted in.

And, Tommy McMorrow singled in Bo Schmitz in the bottom of the 8th inning as the Baseball team beat Princeton 2-1. Eric Pelant went all eight on the hill to get the win, striking out nine Tiger hitters.


The Boys' Golf team is at the Hutchinson Invite at 1pm.

The Softball team resumes a suspended game with Holdingford at Whitney at 4:30pm.

The Boys' Tennis team travels to Litchfield for a 4:30pm match.

The Tech/Cathedral Boys' Lacrosse team is at Elk River at 6:30pm.

And, the Baseball team hosts Foley at Dick Putz Field at 7pm.


The Girls' Golf team heads to the Alexandria Invite.

The Track and Field teams are at the Sauk Rapids Mega Meet.

And, the Baseball team heads north for a pair of games at The JIm Karn Tournament in Crookston.
