Activities Update - 5/8/12

Eric Pelant threw a two-hit shutout and Tommy McMorrow's 5th inning home run provided the needed offense as the Baseball team beat Albany 1-0 at Faber Field last night.  The Crusaders are now 11-2 on the season.

The Softball team evened their record at 7-7 with a 17-0 win over Melrose.  Maria Bastin struck out 11 hitters over the 15 outs recorded.  Lizzy Sloan had three hits and scored three runs.

The Boys' Tennis team beat Mora 7-0.  Among the CHS wins, Jonathan Chalupsky earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at #4 singles.

The Boys' Golf team finished one shot behind Zimmerman at the Granite Ridge Conference meet in Princeton.  The Crusaders carded a team 328 - led by Peter Spethmann's 75 that earned him co-medalist honors.

The Girls' Golf team came in second at the pre-Section meet at Blackberry Ridge six shots behind Pequot Lakes.  Lucy Gaetz carded an excellent 80 to pace Cathedral's team score of 346.

The Tech/Cathedral Boys' Lacrosse team beat Spring Lake Park 13-9.  CHS' Zach Affeldt had five goals and an assist to lead the way.

The Cloud Area Girls' Lacrosse team lost to Orono 12-7.

Today is a fairly light Tuesday:

The Softball team travels to Little Falls for 5pm game.

And, the Boys' Lacrosse team hosts Orono at 6:30pm at Husky Stadium.
