Activities Update - 5/9/12

Just two events yesterday - the Softball team played well but lost at Little Falls 5-3.  Maria Bastin drove in two runs for the Crusaders.

The Tech/Cathedral Boys' Lacrosse team lost to Orono, 6-5 in overtime at Husky Stadium. CHS' Zach Affeldt scored in the final minute to send the game to OT.

Alumni news this morning:

SCSU's Emily Kerber '08 shot a three-round 242, improving each day - including a final-round 78 yesterday - to finish 9th overall in the Central Regional in New Mexico.  Her effort qualified her for the NCAA Women's Golf Championships in Kentucky May 16-19th.

Speaking of golf national tourneys, the Gustavus Men's Golf team - led by Tyler McMorrow '10 - has received a bid in the NCAA Men's Golf Championships in Florida May 15 - 18th.  Congrats to both Emily and Tyler and good luck to both!

Phil Imholte '08 has been named to the NSIC All-conference first team in baseball for St. Cloud State.  Phil and his Husky teammates, including Steve Rindelaub  '08 and Nick Maiers '10, begin NSIC Tournament play today in Mankato.

Today:

The Track and Field teams are the at the True Team Section meet at Totino-Grace at 3:30pm.

And, the Boys' Tennis team has a make-up match at Princeton at 3:30pm.
