Activities Update - 6/1/12

The Baseball team fell to Albany 7-2 last night in the Section 6AA tourney.  The Crusaders now fall to the losers' bracket and will need to win four times next week to advance.  The road back starts on Monday against Wadena-Deer Creek at 5pm at Dick Putz Field.

Former Crusader Phil Imholte has been named a Division II Academic All-American.  Phil earned the award with a combination of his academic achievements and baseball accomplishments at SCSU.  Congrats to Phil!

Here is a look ahead to next week:

On Monday and Tuesday, the Golf teams compete in the Section 6AA tourney at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell.

The Baseball team - as mentioned above - plays on Monday at the MAC.  If they keep winning they play Tuesday and then again on Thursday.

And, the State Track and Field meet is next Friday and Saturday at Hamline University.  Nick Golebiowski runs in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters and both the girls' and boys' 4 x 800 relay teams will also compete.

We will have a few updates here next week as well.

Today is our last day as a complete staff until August.  I hope everyone has a safe and fun summer - and I look forward to seeing everyone in August.
