Activities Update - 9/21/12

The Girls' Tennis team closed out the conference portion of the schedule with a 4-3 win over Pine City.  For the second straight match, CHS swept the singles.  Erika Barthelemy won at #4 singles to improve her record there to 7-0.  The Crusaders finish 4-3 in Granite Ridge Conference play.

The Volleyball team beat Becker 3-0 - set scores were 25-8, 25-5, 25-18.  Rylee Medelberg led the way with 10 kills and nine digs.  Sarah Windschitl added seven kills and five blocks for the Crusaders who are now 5-1 in conference play.

The CHS/SJP Girls' Swim and Dive team fell to Becker 99-83 in a close meet that featured many tight races.  Sophie Titus won the 200 freestyle, the 100 backstroke and was part of the winning 400 free relay team.  SJP's Sydney Wenner won the 100 butterfly and was part of the winning 200 free relay team.

The Boys' Soccer team beat Becker 8-0 to move to 8-0-1 on the season.  Will Hammer had the hat trick for Cathedral.

And, Ellie Engel scored four times as the Girls' Soccer team beat the Bulldogs 8-1.  CHS is now 5-0-1 in Granite Ridge play.


It's Homecoming - and the Football team hosts Litchfield at 7pm at Husky Stadium.  The Crusaderettes dance at halftime and the Pep Band will fire things up.  There is a tailgate party that starts at 5pm and we will honor the 1992 and 1993 State Championship teams at halftime.  See you there!


The Boys' and Girls' Cross-Country teams are the Milaca Mega Meet - the largest high school cross-country meet in the world - at 10:00am tomorrow in Milaca.

The Cathedral Bowling team has conference matches at Southway Bowl at 1:30pm.

And - of course - the Homecoming Dance is tomorrow night from 8 to 11:30pm at Atwood.
