Girls’ Nordic Ski (7-12)

Welcomes

Welcome to Cathedral Girls' Nordic Ski!

We are excited that you are interested in being part of our team. We are comprised of athletes from Cathedral and Sartell High School.

2019:  First day of practice is Nov. 11.  There will be a parent and athlete meeting at Sartell High School on Ict. 28th @ 7:30pm in the Performing Arts Center.

Practice location for 2019 is still being decided.

The ski coaching staff believes that skiing should not be first in your life. Faith, family, self and school are far more important than skiing. Having fun and being part of the ski team is more important than winning. The process is greater than the outcome. Having said that, setting a goal to achieve success and win is a chance to challenge oneself and learn more about what it takes to become successful. There should be room for any student to participate. Everyone needs coaching, yet, the attention one receives should be proportional to the effort they put in, not their ability or level they race at. The success of our team is based on the newest and youngest skiers.

Items needed for skiing: skies (classical and skate), boots, poles, synthetic clothing, wax and waxing equipment. Optional: rollerblades and a helmet.

Athletes must register for Nordic Skiing by clicking on “Online Registration.” There is also a fee of $225.
