We have completed 127 sit-down, face-to-face visits with people like you who have the capacity to make this project happen. We have received gifts or commitments ranging in size from $1,000,000 to $100,000 and some smaller amounts. Each gift is appreciated and adds to the total.
In just a few more days it will be time to tally-up our efforts and determine the next steps. As I write we are inviting and asking the entire Cathedral community to get involved. We’re doing this through direct mail and social media. Our national volunteer chairs, Bob ’77 and Kathy ’77 Lahr have been wonderfully dedicated and involved. They would love to sit and visit with each person but we will necessarily settle for a more practical approach.
We just added-up the total responses and we’re nearly halfway there – just over $8 million.
We are very hopeful. You and several other very key people and organizations hold the fate of this project in your (their) hands. Of course, you can’t count hope or expectations – and we won’t until we have it in writing.
That’s where you come in. If you haven’t yet responded, please do so soon. If you want to visit, let us know. We make house and office calls.
Throughout the last seven years as we’ve worked diligently, carefully, and respectfully on this project we’ve received overwhelming positive support, sometimes approaching 100% approval during some of the phases. Whether Cathedral and the new E-12 Catholic Schools become bigger, better, and stronger is now up to you. There is very little more we can do.
Cathedral’s 132nd year is already four weeks old, our program is strong, enrollment steady, finances in the black, and our students deserving of your investment and support. Thank you!
