Scholarships for High School Students Grades 9 - 12 

Voice of Democracy Scholarship offered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars' (VFW's)
Open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States and its territories.
Eligibility:
•Scholarship must be applied towards tuition at either a college or university
•Must submit a 3-5 minute recorded essay on the theme “What Makes America Great” on a CD or Flash drive
• Must include a typed version of your essay and a photograph of yourself with your submission
• Submit applications and all other requirements no later than October 31, 2019, to:

Scholarships for Seniors in High School

Bird Island-Hawk Creek Mutual Insurance Company Scholarship 
Five scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to five graduating seniors enrolled in a school in the operating territory of Bird Island-Hawk Creek Mutual Insurance Company.
Eligibility: 
•Students must include a copy of their high school transcript and ACT or other test scores. 
•Must include at least one and not more than three letters of recommendation.
• Winners will be asked to attend the Company's annual meeting on January 27, 2020 to receive their award. 
• Submit applications and all other requirements no later than December 1, 2019 to:
