Scholarships for High School Students Grades 9 - 12 

Young Women in Public Affairs Award by The Zonta Club of St. Cloud. This is both a district and international scholarship recognizing young women for their demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to public service. A student will be chosen from area high schools to be awarded $750.00. The winner of this award will be entered into the District Competition with a chance to win $1,000.00 and entered into the International Contest with a chance to win $4,000.00.
Who is Eligible:
Women who are pre-university or pre-college students (ages 16-19) at the time of application and demonstrate:
• Active commitment to volunteerism
• Experience in local or student government
• Volunteer leadership achievements
• Knowledge of Zonta International and it's programs
• Advocating in Zonta International's mission of advancing the status of women worldwide
• Plan to enter careers or to seek leadership positions in social policy making, government, and volunteer organizations

Central MN High School students planning post-secondary education. These scholarships
are listed together below and can only be applied for online. To apply you must go to the

Scholarship

Minimum GPA 2.5, participation in 4-H, FFA or from a farm family. Be a high school senior from Foley, Milaca, Cathedral High School. Attending a 2 or 4 year college, full-time enrollment
Available Scholarships: 1 - $1,000 Scholarship

Bernick Family Foundation Scholarship

Minimum GPA 3.0. Must live in a Bernick Service Area. Attending a 2 or 4 year college, full-time enrollment.
Available Scholarships: 10 - $2,000 scholarships will be paid over 4 years with $500 being given each year, when maintaining a full time enrollment with a 3.0 GPA or better.

Coborn (Bill and Joyce) Memorial Scholarship

Employees of Coborn's Inc. or eligible children of Coborn's Inc. employees. May be a high school student attending a private school, a high school senior, college student or graduate student, full-time enrollment.

Fouquette (Dan) Scholarship

St Cloud Apollo, St Cloud Tech, Cathedral, Sartell, or Sauk Rapids high school senior majoring in Business or Finance, full-time enrollment

Fox (Terry R.) Scholarship

High school senior or college student, dependents of full time First Byte Computer Inc., or DBA Computex employees, two or four year college or graduate school, full-time enrollment.
Available Scholarships: Up to $10,000 total scholarships.

Michael & Karel Helgeson Generations Scholarship (GNP)

Gold'n Plump Employees and dependent children who are attending a two or four year college full-time with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Available Scholarships: 20 - $2,000 Scholarships

Hilger (Andy and Carol) Pro-life Scholarship

Prolife high school seniors or college students in the St. Cloud Diocese area. Minimum GPA 2.5. Full-time enrollment in a two or four year college
Available Scholarships: 1 - $1,000 scholarship is available

Klinefelter (Brian) Family Scholarship

Multiple scholarships available in support of local, county, state and federal law enforcement, firefighter and paramedic personnel. Must be planning to attend either a two or four year college. Requirements may vary depending on the scholarship applied for.

Miller Architects & Builders Scholarship

High school seniors with a minimum of 2.5 GPA, planning to study Architecture, Construction Management, Drafting or CAD. Two or four year college, full-time enrollment.

Kiwanis Educational Foundation Scholarship
Kiwanis Educational Foundation will award a $715.00 scholarship to a student planning on attending a college or university located in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Superior, Wisconsin.
Attachments Required:
• Application
• Applicant's letter
• Copy of the applicant's transcript
• Letter of recommendation addressing the applicants's character, attitude, and level of responsibility from a school staff member.
 All attachments should be returned to the counseling office no later than
January 16th, 2019

Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarships
Provided by the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management for incoming freshman accepted to the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota who demonstrate strong academic and leadership skills. Applicants do not need to join the fraternity to be eligible for this scholarship.
Criteria to Apply:
• MUST be an incoming freshman accepted to the Carlson School of Management.
• Have strong academic records.
• Demonstrate leadership experience.
• Provide ACT Scores from the testing authority.
• Provide FAFSA information.
• Complete the following three essay questions.
• Deadline to submit your application and essay is Monday, February 18th, 2019.

CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital Health Care Scholarship provided by St. Cloud Hospital Halenbeck Fund will be awarded to students pursuing a career in health care. Payments will be made in two installments, directly to the successful applicants school.
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must:
• Be a high school senior enrolling in a health care-related degree program;
• Have a grade point average of 2.8 or above;
• Demonstrate involvement in community, school or work activities.
Each Applicant must: 
• Complete an application and include all required documentation of school, community, volunteer and work activities and awards received in each.
• Attach current years transcript, including cumulative GPA.
• Attach a copy of letter of enrollment into the health care program.
•Attach an essay of no more than two, double-spaced typed pages. The essay should outline the following:
        • Applicant's career goals;
        • Factors that influenced the applicant to choose a health care career.
• Applications and required materials due no later than Thursday, February 1, 2019

Zonta Club of St. Cloud, STEM Scholarship will be awarding a $750.00 scholarship to a woman pursuing post-secondary education in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Eligibility:
• A female senior in high school at the time of this application
• Plans to pursue a field in STEM
• Volunteer activities related to STEM
• Knowledge of Zonta International and it's programs
• Application must be received by March 1st, 2019

George W. Friedrich Foundation Scholarship 
The George W. Friedrich Foundation is offering up to two $500.00 scholarships to a Lion's District 5M-8 high school senior.
To be eligible applicants must:
• Be a high school senior in the Lion's District 5M-8
• Be in the upper 50% of your class
• Plan to attend either a college, university or technical college
• Complete the application form and a one page typed essay on the topic "How you have, and how you will continue to serve your community and the people within it."
 • Must submit completed application and essay to the
Counseling Office no later than March 5th, 2019.

SFM Foundation Scholarship
The SFM Foundation will be awarding scholarships to children or dependents of workers injured or killed in a work related accident during the course and scope of employment with a Minnesota or Iowa based employer and entitled to receive benefits under the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Act or Iowa's Workers' Compensation Law.
Basic eligibility requirements:
• Must be a Minnesota or Iowa resident between the ages of 16 and 25 at the time of application.
• Must have a high school GED or be a high school student in good standing.
• Academic achievement, aptitude, extracurricular activities, and community service of the applicant will be considered.
• Grade point average will be reviewed against the number of hours the applicant works and his/her community involvement.
• Must be pursuing a primary college or university degree or vocational education and training from any accredited school.
• Must demonstrate financial need.
• Must submit your completed application to SFM Foundation by mail or fax no later than March 31st, 2019.

Tom Bearson Foundation Scholarship will award one $500.00 scholarship to a Cathedral High School Senior whom has shown dedication, achievement and effort in a varsity sport and plans to pursue a degree at either a Technical, 2-year, or 4-year post secondary institution.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a Cathedral High Schoool Senior in the spring of 2019.
• Have a G.P.A of 2.00 or higher.
• Have been a member of a Cathedral High School varsity sports team in the last two years.
• Pursuing a degree at a technical, 2-year, or 4-year post-secondary institution.
• Students applying for this scholarship may also apply for the Tome Bearson Foundation Spirit Award / Scholarship.
• Complete application and personal essay are due no later than April 15, 2019.

Tom Bearson Foundation Spirit Award / Scholarship 
The Tom Bearson Foundation has created the Tom Bearson Spirit Award / Scholarship to recognize the achievements, dedication and positive spirit put forth by a Central Minnesota student athlete.  A one time scholarship of $1,500.00 will be awarded to the student athlete that best represents the attributes below.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a Central Minnesota high school senior in the spring of 2019.
• Have a G.P.A of 2.00 or higher.
• Have been a member of a high school sports team during the 2018-2019 school year.
• Pursuing a degree at a technical, 2-year, or 4-year post-secondary institution.
• Students applying for this scholarship may also apply for the Tom Bearson Foundation Cathedral High School Senior Scholarship.
• Complete application and personal essay and transcript are due no later than 
May 15, 2019.
