Cathedral High School Testing
Cathedral High School administers the following tests during the school year:
All 8th Grade Students will take the ACT Aspire in the spring.
The ACT Aspire maps learner progress from grades three through high school on a vertical scale, anchored to the scoring system of the ACT.
Pre-ACT: All 10th graders will take the Pre-ACT sometime their sophomore year.
This test is essentially a Practice ACT and it includes the same subtests that are included on the ACT. The score report provides useful information about skills students can work on the better prepare for the ACT. It also includes an interest inventory to help students get an idea of possible careers that fit well with their interests. Pre-ACT Information.
PSAT: All Juniors will take the PSAT on the morning of Wednesday October 10th.
The PSAT is sponsored by the college board and is a standardized test that provides practice for the SAT. It gives students feedback on skills needed for college.

MCIS (Minnesota Career Information System) is a college and career planning website. All students create an account their sophomore year, sometimes earlier. Students can log into this site to access test prep for the ACT & SAT. To access the test prep, hover over "My Portfolio" and click on "Test Prep" on the right hand side.
