Cathedral High School Trap Club (Spring season)

Trap Club is open to all students grades 7-12.

Practice is held on Monday's at Deltone/Luth Gun Club in St. Cloud after school (Feb. 27-May 22).  State competition is in mid-June.

Participants need to provide their own shotgun, (Coaches will check to see if it is appropriate for the sport of trap.)  They must have a MN Firearms Safety Certificate as well.

Cost is $35 (paid to MNSHSCTL) when students register.  Each week costs $20 (target/shells), however a fundraiser is available through Stearns County Pheasants Forever to offset the cost of this.

2018 Highlights:
The Crusader Trap team had 22 participants at the State Trap Meet in Alexandria in June 2018.  Many team members shot their personal best for the season. Each member shot a total of 100 rounds.  The Varsity Team placed 14th, the JV Team was 9th, and the Novice Team placed 11th. The Top varisty scores were Mike Lyon -94  and Jacob Stolzenberg - 93.  The top JV male scores were Jake Meyer with an 89 while Ashton Zabinski and Mark Zimny each posted 86.  Elizabeth Nystrom posted a 72 on the Girls JV side The top Male Novice was Jonathon Hanson - 64,  while the tap Female Novice scores were posted by Autumn McBroom - 75 and Ellie Fleming - 65.
