We have an architect!
The firm of ATS&R selected as architect for new Academic Building.
On January 9th The Cathedral High School Board of Directors approved the architectural firm of ATS&R Architects and Engineers to partner with Cathedral High School and McGough Construction in the design and construction of our new Academic Building.
ATS&R was the finalist of a rigorous search process conducted by the Executive Group of the Cathedral High School Building Committee. Depth of experience across educational facilities, a demonstrated high level of enthusiasm and interest in our project made the team at ATS&R the obvious choice.
Dean Beeninga, Vice-President, Principal at ATS&R and lead architect on our project, says, “We are thrilled to learn that we get to serve the community of Cathedral High School. We are excited to work with your staff and community to design new learning environments that will serve future needs in learning and a place for the community to feel at home.”
Cathedral’s Building Committee, Executive Group, McGough Construction, ATS&R, Faculty and Staff of Cathedral and the entire Cathedral community will begin work immediately to complete the programming and design for our new Academic Building.
Final fundraising necessary for the project to stay on schedule will parallel the programming and design phase of the project.
Future projects at Cathedral are expected to include a major renovation of the school’s 1938 building, new worship space and a major expansion, improvement of athletic facilities.
Groundbreaking is anticipated for the summer of 2018 with dedication and occupancy in time for the 2019-20 school year.
